Important Precautions
Chaga may not be suitable for everyone because it:
* Can lower blood sugar, which may increase the effects of diabetes medications.
* Contains oxalates, which in large amounts over long periods may increase the risk of kidney problems in susceptible individuals.
* May affect blood clotting, so caution is advised if taking blood-thinning medications or before surgery.
Simple Chaga Tea recipe
* 1–2 tablespoons dried chaga chunks
* 4 cups water
* Simmer gently for 45–60 minutes.
* Strain and enjoy. The chunks can be reused several times until the tea becomes clear.
Simply place the chunk you have in a pot of cold water. Make sure you put enough water in to cover the chunks. Simply bring the water up to near boiling, turn the heat down enough to simmer the chunk for about 7-10 minutes. The longer you allow it to simmer, the darker your tea will be. It can be drunk Hot or iced!
